Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular ‘pitch’ in the middle of an oval. The 'bowling' and 'fielding' team will bowl a small hard ball onto the pitch as fast as possible with a straight arm in an attempt to hit the 'stumps'. The 'batting' team must attempt to hit the ball and score as many 'runs' as possible. The batting team can be dismissed if the stumps are hit or if the ball is caught by the bowling/fielding team.
