Also known as Ballroom Rumba, Rumba developed in the 1930s in the United States on the East Coast. Being a genre of music and dance, Rumba combines big band music with Afro-Cuban rhythms such as the son cubano, conga and rumba. Practised for both recreation, competition and socialisation, Rumba is a fantastic way to have fun and keep fit.
