The Sutherland Shire Netball Association Inc, formerly known as the Sutherland Shire Girls Basketball Association, was established in 1960. It has since grown to become one of the biggest netball associations in the state of New South Wales, according to figures released by Netball NSW. The association operates at various venues throughout the Sutherland Shire. The main complex is located at Bellingara Road and boasts 34 sealed courts, including an indoor stadium. Additionally, there are 12 sealed courts at The Ridge Sports Complex in Barden Ridge. Some younger teams and the NetSetGo cohort play at Seymour Shaw Park on 20 grass courts.
Various smaller training venues are also scattered throughout the Shire.
The association hosts both winter and summer competitions, as well as club training sessions, on its courts. The indoor stadium is used for club games on Saturdays, representative team training, and coach and official education sessions. It also serves as the association's administration centre, where executive and association meetings are regularly held.
