Frank Barca has been training at 10th Planet Jiu-jitsu HQ in Hollywood since 2006. During his time there, he has come into contact with numerous MMA Legends and elite Jiu Jitsu and MMA fighters at Legends Gym, one of the most renowned training facilities in Hollywood. He has returned to Los Angeles 13 times to further develop his skills and train under his Master, Eddie Bravo, the founder of 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu.

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Melbourne is the first Australian institution to fully adopt and teach the unique style of submission grappling developed by Eddie Bravo. The school prides itself on teaching effective submission strategies and techniques that have proven to be highly successful.

Frank Barca's journey to discovering 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu began in 2006 when he travelled to Hollywood to experience it firsthand. He was immediately captivated by the unique and effective techniques pioneered by Eddie Bravo. Impressed by the effectiveness of the system, Frank continued to travel to Los Angeles over the following 11 years, regularly training directly under Eddie Bravo's guidance.

Recognised for his dedication and skills, Frank Barca was personally awarded 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Affiliation by Eddie Bravo during his third trip to Los Angeles in October 2008. Such an affiliation is granted to individuals who have mastered 75% of the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu system, have a minimum of 4 years of grappling experience, and have consistently demonstrated the application of the system in sparring and competition. This affiliation made him the first person outside of America and North America licenced to teach authentic 10th Planet Rubber guard, Twister and Half-guard attacks, among other attacks unique to 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu.

Frank Barca is Eddie Bravo's first-generation student, having been ranked solely by the Master himself since 2006. He achieved the significant milestone of becoming the first Black Belt in 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu in the Southern Hemisphere in 2015. His rank history comprises a Blue Belt in 2008, Purple Belt in 2009, Brown Belt in 2012, and Black Belt in 2015, all awarded by Eddie Bravo.
