With a focus on building important life skills, fostering friendships, and promoting outdoor activities, the group caters to different age groups through its various sections – Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers.
The Beavers section, designed for children aged 6 to 8 years, provides opportunities for youngsters to make new friends and engage in a range of stimulating activities. From team building exercises to learning new skills, Beavers is the perfect platform for young children to explore and discover their potential.
For children aged 8 to 10 years, the Cubs section is all about adventure and practical skills. Through a series of activities and challenges, Cubs can develop a wide range of abilities while also having a great time. Whether it's tying knots, building shelters, or learning survival skills, Cubs are sure to find their time with the group both educational and enjoyable.
As children progress into the Scouts section, aged 10 to 14 years, they are given the opportunity to build their confidence, resilience, and sense of adventure. Scouts engage in a variety of activities such as camping, hiking, and teamwork exercises. These experiences help them develop important life skills while also fostering a deep appreciation for the natural world.
Finally, the Explorers section is specifically tailored for young people aged 14 to 18 years. Here, participants can take their #SkillsforLife further and explore new horizons. They have the opportunity to gain new skills, challenge themselves, and engage in activities that promote personal growth and development.
The 12th Maghull Scout Group welcomes all adults as volunteers. Whether it's helping to lead activities or support the day-to-day running of the group, adults play a crucial role in shaping the experiences of the young members.
To find the 12th Maghull Scout Group, interested individuals can visit the Northway Community Primary School on Dodds Lane, Maghull, Liverpool, L31 9AA. Troop Nights are held on Mondays, starting from 6:30 pm for Beavers and Cubs, and 7:30 pm for Scouts and Explorers.
