The Southland Mountain Bike Club is gearing up for an exciting day of amateur mountain biking at the Sandy Point MTB Trails. If you're under 19 years old, you can join the fun for $25.00, while open and veteran riders can register for $35.00. Whether you want to ride solo or with a team, make sure to come up with a cool team name when you sign up.
There are different categories to choose from, including the E-Bike 4 Hour Team and E-Bike 8 Hour Team. Throughout the event, there will be spot prizes up for grabs, so keep an eye out for your chance to win. Prize giving for the 4-hour race will take place at 3:20 pm, with the 8-hour race results being announced as soon as they're available.
Don't forget that each team member needs to complete at least one lap of the course and pass on a reflective armband like a baton. The day kicks off with registration starting at 9:00 am until 10:30 am, followed by a rider's briefing at 10:30 am before the race starts at 11:00 am. For parking, head over to the East side of Sandy Point Road.
To keep everyone fueled up, there will be BBQ food and beer available for donations, so make sure to bring along some money for snacks and drinks. It's going to be a fantastic day of mountain biking, so come on out and enjoy the ride with the Southland Mountain Bike Club!
