2022 Club Championships

2022 Club Championships at the Lethbridge Country Club is a prestigious event that showcases the talent and skill of the members of this historic club. Founded in 1909, the Lethbridge Country Club has a rich history as one of the original five founding member clubs of Alberta Golf. The club's picturesque location in the riverbottom land offers stunning views and a challenging course designed by renowned architects Stanley Thompson and Bill Robinson.

The club's facilities have seen improvements over the years, including a new clubhouse designed by Lethbridge Architect Robert Hirano in 1997. The practice facilities, including a driving range, short game area, and putting green, were enhanced in the early 2000s to provide members with top-notch amenities for improving their game. Additionally, the reconfiguration of the 12th, 13th, and 14th holes by Les Furber in 2010 added new challenges and stunning coulee vistas for golfers of all levels.

The Lethbridge Country Club has a tradition of hosting major events, starting with the Alberta Men's Amateur Championship in 2000. The club's Women's Open tournament held annually in June attracts top amateurs from across Alberta and has seen champions like Betty Stanhope Cole and Diane Williams. Former Canadian Junior Men's Champ and Canadian Tour event winner Michael Mezei also calls the Lethbridge Country Club home.

In July 2012, the club hosted its first national championship, the Royale Cup Canadian Women's Amateur Championship, solidifying its reputation as a leading golf destination in southern Alberta.
