53rd Allan Scally Memorial Road Race 4 x 5k

Shettleston Harriers is excited to announce the upcoming 53rd Allan Scally Memorial Road Race 4 × 5k, taking place at Glasgow Green on Saturday 2nd March 2024. The race kicks off at 12 noon, starting from the race headquarters at Green Football Centre on 28 King's Drive, Glasgow, G40 1HB.

Teams can get in on the action by entering the race as a mixed group of 2 females and 2 males. Participants must be 15 years old or older by 31st August 2023 to be eligible for this SA PERMIT EVENT. Pre-entry for the 4-person team costs £36, which includes the Green Tax required by Glasgow Council. Register your team on the provided link before the deadline on Wednesday 28th February 2024 at midnight.

Cash prizes await the top teams and individuals at the Allan Scally Prize Fund for 2024. With rewards for 1st to 4th teams, Masters M40 and M50, as well as a Mixed Club Team, there are plenty of opportunities to secure a prize. Additional cash prizes are up for grabs in different categories, such as fastest lap, age group winners, and top U/20 and U/17 athletes.

The total cash prize pool amounts to £1440, with an extra £300 in bonus cash. For corporate teams, there are vouchers on offer for the first male team, first female team, and first mixed team comprising 2 males and 2 females.

While parking is available in the nearby areas of Glasgow Green, there are unfortunately no on-site shower facilities.
