In Wanneroo, Perth. She studied ballet, jazz, theatrical, and tapping, and has been teaching dance for over 30 years. Fiona is not only the studio owner but also actively involved in local theatre productions, both as a performer and choreographer. She has worked on shows such as Chicago, Cats, Cabaret, 42nd Street, Annie, Jack, and the Beanstalk, and Fully Monty.
Fiona is currently the Musical Theatre Tap Lecturer at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and also serves as a Tapatak Oz Examiner in Australia. In 2019, she completed the American Tap Dance Teachers Training Course in New York City.
All That Jazz Dance Studio began in 1993, initially as a group of adults learning tap dance in the local hall in Wanneroo. Due to its popularity, a dedicated dance studio was opened to cater to students of all ages, starting from 2 years old. Since then, the studio has established a stellar reputation in Perth and is known for its commitment to providing quality dance education. The studio occupies the entire first level of its building.
The studio offers a wide range of dance classes and styles, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and tap. They follow the syllabus set by the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dance (CSTD) for examinations and also incorporate the Tapatak programme into their curriculum. In addition to regular classes, All That Jazz Dance Studio provides opportunities for students to partake in open classes, floorshow performances, and annual concerts. These events allow students to showcase their talents and provide a platform for friends and family to support them.
The studio also organises trips to Sydney for students to learn from top Australian choreographers and teachers.
