Aquatots Swim School

Aquatots Swim School, a locally owned and operated swim school in Canberra, was developed in 2002 with the goal of teaching young Australians a life-saving skill. Their award-winning programmes are designed for babies from 6 weeks of age through to squad level swimmers and are delivered by qualified and passionate instructors.

Aquatots offers a unique programme with proven results, starting with their Infant Aquatic Programme, which was Australia's first aquatic programme for infants from 6 weeks of age. This programme, called Aquabubbas, focuses on building strong, healthy, and happy babies using the benefits of an aquatic environment.

For pre-school children aged 3 to 5 years, Aquatots offers a programme that caters to children with little to no water experience, as well as those who are learning the technical side of all four strokes. Children in this programme are placed in classes according to their swimming ability.

The school-aged beginner to intermediate programme is designed for children aged 5 to 12 years and focuses on floatation, propulsive skills, and basic breathing patterns for all four strokes. Children are placed in classes based on their swimming ability.

Aquatots also offers an advanced programme for school-aged children aged 5 to 12 years who can already propel through the water using basic strokes. In this programme, they learn the technical side of all four strokes in preparation for joining squads.

In addition to their swimming programmes, Aquatots offers a Water Wellness Programme, a parents group designed to assist new parents with their mental health and well-being while navigating parenthood. The team also includes Director Debbie Sarri, who has been instructing swimming since 1975 and brings a wealth of experience to the school.
