The Ararat & District Cycling Club has 100 members, half of whom are competing members and the other half consisting of officials, social members and parents. Club facilities include a newly re-surfaced velodrome as well as clubrooms, which consist of change rooms and kitchen facilities in the canteen. Club racing at the velodrome is staged each Friday night during the summer, which attracts riders from 100 km away. Each year around 250 cyclists from all over Australia and New Zealand participate at the club's Christmas Carnival where riders from under- 9's to international level compete.
