Archers In Melbourne (AIM) is a sports club located in Melbourne, Australia. As one of Victoria's newest clubs, AIM is based in Melbourne's leading indoor archery centre. The club takes pride in being a member of Archery Victoria and Archery Australia, which allows members access to elite training facilities seven days a week, 360 days a year. Membership at AIM not only provides registration to Archery Australia but also gives members the opportunity to access events and venues nationwide and even internationally.
AIM offers instruction and coaching for both individuals and groups. Experienced member archers, including an Olympic medallist, are on hand to provide help, advice, and assistance to archers of all levels. Whether you are a beginner or have international experience, AIM welcomes you to come down, have a try, and chat with their knowledgeable members. They are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.
The club has a range of upcoming events that cater to archers of different divisions and skill levels. These events include the Vigano Shield, which is dedicated to the memory of Mario Vigano, a supporter of the club known for his kind heart and willingness to help others. Other events include the Archers in Melbourne WA 25m Challenge, a World Archery registered event, and the National & State Indoor event.
Membership with AIM consists of three components – AIM membership, Archery Australia/Archery Victoria registration, and venue fees/membership. AIM takes great pride in having Victoria's only Olympic medallist as a member and has produced many national and state representatives. However, their main goal is to provide quality advice and assistance to those learning archery as a sport.
Archery is considered one of the safest sports to participate in, and AIM emphasises this by ensuring that all of their instructors are fully trained in archery through Australian Sports Commission approved programmes. They also hold current Working With Children Checks (WWCC). Archery is known as a family sport, and AIM boasts one of the highest family memberships of any sport.
For more information, interested individuals can visit the club's website, where they can find event results, club documents, and information about the AIM Archery Club membership. The AIM Archery Club is known as Australia's leading indoor archery venue and has been open since 2004. It is the perfect place for beginners as well as experienced archers to hone their skills and enjoy the sport of archery.
