Armidale Rifle Club shoot both Full-bore and F-Class disciplines of long range shooting. We shoot at Wollomombi Rifle Range every Sunday and have 5 ranges- 100yards, 300yards, 500yards, 600yards and 700 yards.
Target Rifle (TR) – Standard target is either 7. 62 mm (. 308W) or 5. 56 mm (.
223R) single shot bolt action rifle with front and rear aperture sights and hand held sling.
Free Class (FC) – Standard target rifle as stated in Target Rifle. The use of the front and rear rest are used instead of a sling. The front rest is normally a bipod or pedestal rest with a sandbag used at the rear. A telescopic sight is used instead of aperture sights.
This is becoming a more popular class of the two.
