The club has a proud track record of producing athletes who have represented Australia at prestigious events such as the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, Paralympic Games, World Athletics Championships, World Para-Athletics Championships, World Athletics U20 Championships, World Athletics Cross Country Championships, and World University Games.

Located at the Moonee Valley Athletics Centre, Athletics Essendon offers various training times throughout the week exclusively for members. From Monday to Thursday, athletes can train in the evenings, and on Saturdays and Sundays, training is available during the afternoon and morning, respectively. Additionally, on Wednesdays, circular training is available in specific lanes, while other lanes are reserved for Essendon Little Athletics and seniors.
