About

The Australian Kyudo Association (AKA) is a sports club located in Perth, Western Australia. As the national body for Kyudo in Australia, the AKA aims to promote and develop the practise of Kyudo, a traditional Japanese archery, throughout the country.

To become a member of the AKA, individuals are required to make contact with their State Association and join a Kyudo club in their respective state. If there is no state association in their state, they can contact the AKA Secretary for more information. Annual fees are to be paid to the state association, which will then forward the national component of the fee ($50) to the AKA. To complete the membership process, interested individuals must also fill out the online membership form using the provided password.

The AKA organises various events throughout the year, which can be found on their calendar of events. These events include seminars, championships, and taikai (tournament) competitions. The AKA also archives Kyudo events and encourages participants to send in reports and pictures to the webmaster for publication on their website.

The Australian Kyudo Association is committed to fostering a sense of community among Kyudo enthusiasts. They provide a platform for members to connect with each other and share their experiences and achievements through their blog and social media platforms. The AKA also welcomes participants from all skill levels, whether they are beginners or seasoned practitioners, and provides a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone's growth and development in Kyudo.

For more information about the Australian Kyudo Association, interested individuals can visit their website, which provides details about the association, upcoming events, and contact information for further inquiries.
