Avondale Women's Hockey Club

Avondale Raiders Women's Hockey Club was formed in 1999.

The Inaugural General Meeting was held in July 1999.

We became affiliated with the Illawarra Women's Hockey Association in August of that year and played our first matches in the 1999 Indoor season.

In 2014, the Illawarra Women's Hockey Association became part of Illawarra South Coast Hockey and our club name was changed to Avondale Hockey Club Incorporated.

Also in 2014 Avondale was awarded the Champion Club of Illawarra Women's Hockey association winning, Major and Minor leadingship in Division 1, Minor leadingship in Division 2 and Major leadingship in Division 3.

Avondale Hockey Club currently field Division 1 through to Division 3 teams which play on Saturday as well as U/18 and U/15 Teams that play on Monday Nights.

All teams train on a Tuesday evening from 7pm to 7:30pm (fitness) and 7. 30pm to 8. 30pm (skills).
