Ballarat Kart Club is a dynamic and thriving sports club located in the heart of Golden Plains Shire. The club is focused on promoting and growing the sport of kart racing in the local community and beyond. The club is currently undergoing an exciting track extension project, which has garnered the support and commitment of its members. Over 1500 volunteer hours have been dedicated to the project, showcasing the strong sense of community and camaraderie within the club. Regular “working bee” sessions are held every Saturday morning, where members come together to complete various tasks and enjoy a BBQ lunch.
The club recently made the difficult decision to relocate their upcoming and final round of the Victorian Country Series to the South West Kart Club in Cobden. This decision was made due to the need to delay laying the new track surface. The club understands the disappointment of their members and the karting community, but it is crucial for the long-term success of the club to follow the advice of the asphalting contractor. However, it is important to note that the asphalt works will commence soon, and members can look forward to experiencing the new track and events in the near future.
In addition to track-related activities, Ballarat Kart Club also organises various events and promotions throughout the year. The club recently held a successful raffle, with prizes generously provided by local businesses. The support from sponsors such as DPE Kart Superstore, Remo Racing, Billet Developments, BBF Ballarat Bolts & Fasteners, and Lubricants – Total Oil, has been instrumental in the club's achievements and growth.
