
Ballina Squash Centre is a sports club located at 86 Norton Street, Ballina, NSW 2478. Established in the 1970s, it has been a vibrant part of the community for over five decades. Recently acquired by local business man Jamie O'Grady, the centre has undergone a complete refurbishment, securing its long-term future.
The centre offers a range of activities and competitions for all ages and abilities. Two weekly squash competitions and a volleyball competition are currently running, along with social squash sessions for anyone interested, including juniors. The centre features four squash courts, including one glass back and three hard back courts. Additionally, there is a fully refurbished pool table, table tennis, and a lounge area equipped with a TV and a large projector screen for major sporting events such as NRL state of origin and the Ashes cricket.
A fully equipped gym is also available on-site, with personal training options (operated separately from the squash centre).
During school term times, the centre hosts school sport sessions, with participation from local schools such as Emmanuel Anglican College, Southern Cross K-12, and Richmond Christian College, among others.

The squash competitions at Ballina Squash Centre cater to all ages and skill levels, offering a great opportunity for players to improve their game. Additionally, the centre hosts an indoor volleyball competition on Monday nights during school term time. The cost of participation varies depending on the activity. Social squash is available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 pm and up until 4 pm on weekdays (booking required), as well as on Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. The cost for one hour court hire is $20. Tuesday night squash competition, with matches played from 4 pm, requires a fee of $13 and includes various skill levels from state grade to beginner.
Thursday night squash competition also starts at 4 pm, and Saturday social squash runs from 10 am to 2 pm. Reduced rates apply for Saturday social squash.
For those interested in Monday night indoor volleyball during school term time, the cost is $20 per team per week (with four players per team, it amounts to $5 per player per week).
The centre also offers squash equipment and services for purchase, including squash rackets, re-strings, grips, and shoes, with pricing available upon inquiry.
