About
Barker Old Boys Rugby Union Football Club (BOBRUFC) was established in 1968 by three former students, Guy Shepperd (1962), Lindsay Allen (1965) and Bill Cayzer (1965), with the sole purpose of continuing to play and enjoy rugby with their schoolmates.
With assistance from the Old Barker Association, the club has evolved to achieve fifteen Suburbarn Rugby Club Grade topships, while also boasting over thirty NSW suburban representative players since inauguration. However one of the clubs most proud statistics is the high percentage of both non-Old Barker and female members now involved with the club.
BOBRUFC is a not-for-profit community organisation and holds a number of home games to raise monies with a charitable focus, relevant to our community.
In our most recent season which celebrated our 50th year, BOBRUFC was crowned the 2018 NSWRU Suburban Rugby Division Three Champions in addition to our Colts (U21) and 3rd Grade teams taking out their respective competitions. With Success in 2018 we are looking to build momentum in the upcoming 2019 season.
