Barre is a form of physical exercise which is usually conducted in groups at gyms or specialised studios. Barre, has a strong influence of ballet and combines this with other disciplines like Yoga and Pilates. In addition to the Barre, these classes use other equipment such as medicine balls, resistant bands and light weights. The style of fitness focusses on small, pulsing movements, with a strong emphasis on form, alignment, core activation, flexibility and strength.
