Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC is a highly esteemed sports club located in the picturesque coastal town of Ocean Grove - Barwon Heads, Australia. Founded in 1961, the club has a rich history of patrolling and protecting 13th Beach every season.

As a dedicated volunteer organisation, Barwon Heads 13th Beach SLSC is committed to the missions of Life Saving Victoria and Surf Life Saving Australia, working tirelessly to prevent aquatic-related injuries and deaths. Over the years, the club has evolved from operating out of a humble tin shed to utilising cutting-edge, modern facilities that we are immensely proud of today.

Our club has consistently been recognised for our exemplary patrolling excellence, with four State Patrol Efficiency Awards and regular District Patrol Efficiency Awards. This achievement speaks to the dedication and hard work of our committed volunteer lifesavers who patrol the beach every weekend from November to April.

One of the highlights of our club is our Nipper programme, which offers a fun and enthusiastic environment for children to get involved in surf education. We wholeheartedly welcome all families and children, regardless of their previous beach exposure and skill levels. Through our programmes, children develop self-confidence, surf skills, and knowledge to keep themselves safe while at the beach, all while forming lifelong friendships.

In addition to our success in patrolling, our members have also achieved remarkable results in various competitions, particularly in the IRB where we have both won State Titles and provided members to assist with organising carnivals at the state and national levels.
