Barwon Valley Activity Centre

The Barwon Valley Activity Centre (BVAC) is a large and versatile sports club located in Belmont, Victoria. Situated south of the Barwon River, BVAC offers exceptional training facilities and is an ideal venue for sports competitions. However, it is not limited to sporting events, as it also serves as a prime choice for hosting a variety of events, trade shows, and markets.

One of the highlights of BVAC is the inclusive and friendly environment it provides. The club welcomes patrons and organisations of all abilities, ensuring that everyone feels comfortable and included. BVAC also takes pride in being the home of the Belmont Market, managed and delivered by the City of Greater Geelong's Recreation Facilities team. Every Sunday, BVAC hosts the Belmont Market, which is known for its affordability and community-focused ethos.

In 2023, BVAC plans to host 48 market events for the community.

For those interested in hiring facilities at BVAC, there is a facility hire request form that needs to be completed. The form will then be reviewed to determine availability. It is important to note that submitting the form does not guarantee an immediate booking, as availability, suitability, and adherence to the Conditions of Hire are factors that influence the confirmation of bookings. Both existing and new hirers are required to complete the form.

BVAC has specific opening hours that vary throughout the week. From Monday to Friday, the centre is open from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. On Saturdays, the centre is closed, except for Sundays when it opens from 8:00am to 1:00pm for the Belmont Market. It is significant to note that weekday venue hours prior to 4:00pm and after 9:00pm are subject to bookings, and school holiday hours may vary.

The centre is closed on public holidays, and there is a scheduled closure between December 15, 2023, and January 9, 2024.
