Blackheath Golf Club has a rich history dating back to 1910 when golf was first played in the area on what is now the Memorial Park. The current site of the golf course was initially a nine-hole course for a guest house called “Belvedere. ” The ruins of the building can still be seen overlooking the present 16th fairway. In 1922, a public meeting led to the formation of “The Blackheath Land Co Ltd” and the purchase of the Belvedere Golf Links.

In addition to golf, Blackheath Golf Club offers various social activities and promotions. Every Friday night, members have a chance to participate in the Members' Badge Draw and Kids' Raffle. Additionally, the club hosts the WGB Classic Tee 1 Draw, WGB Classic Tee 10 Draw, and WGB Classic Shotgun Draw on Wednesdays, 18 October 2023. The club also has a Flood Recovery Fundraiser, allowing members and visitors to contribute towards the recovery efforts.
For social players, Blackheath Golf Club offers a Green Fee Loyalty Card promotion. By playing three social games on any day of the week, players can enjoy their fourth game for free. Bookings can be made through the Pro Shop.
