The Boorowa Junior Rugby League was formed in 1969 when a group of parents decided that their children deserved the opportunity to play rugby league.
The group nine junior rugby league featured teams from Cootamundra, Harden, Grenfell, Boorowa and Young (Panthers and Tigers). Harden and Boorowa are now combined in some age groups in order to keep rugby league alive in both towns. With numbers swelling in both towns it will only be a matter of time before they stand alone again.
