Welcome to Bowen State School Auskick, located in Whitsunday Regional! As the leading participation programme in Australia, our aim is to help kids get active, learn valuable life skills, and form lasting friendships through Australian Football.
At Bowen State School Auskick, learning is disguised as playing. Our game-based activities are designed to be fun and engaging for kids of all skill levels, even if they have no prior experience with Aussie Rules. Children can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5, making it accessible to everyone.
The experience we offer at NAB AFL Auskick is like no other. Some may call it organised chaos, but we call it perfect fun. Through our sessions, kids will not only become more active and confident but also get comfortable on the footy field. We ensure safe and fair play by dividing Auskickers by age and even offer optional all-girls groups.
Our sessions run for just one hour per week, making it easy to fit into busy schedules. And the best part? There's no need for expensive sports gear. Auskickers can wear whatever they're comfortable in.
In addition to all the fun on the field, being a part of NAB AFL Auskick comes with some fantastic benefits. Auskickers receive a unique pack of exclusive footy goodies, an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice (including access to games! And even have a chance to play halftime at AFL and AFLW elite matches alongside their footy heroes.
Parents play a crucial role in the Auskick experience and can get involved in various ways. From coordinating to simply encouraging their kids, families contribute to creating a fun and inclusive environment at NAB AFL Auskick. Our local Auskick coordinators are always available to provide more information on how parents can get involved.
And if you're looking to join the best Auskick team of all time, you can register to win a spot in Team NAB AFL Auskick! Winners of this competition get an incredible Grand Final Week experience, a chance to present a medal to their footy heroes at the Grand Final, and $5,000 spending money for the team captain.
