Please note that there are restrictions on the number of participants per session, so it is recommended to arrive early to secure a spot.
For those interested in joining the club, Bowmen of Melville offers membership benefits that include 24/7 access to club facilities. However, if you are a beginner, it is suggested to attend the “Come and Try” sessions a few times before committing to membership. Please note that club equipment is only available on Saturdays, so members are required to have their own equipment for practise outside designated club shoots.
The club's location is at John Connell Reserve on Beasley Road, Leeming. To access the club, follow the entrance through Melville Glades Golf Club, keeping left through the golf club car park until you see the Bowmen sign. Turn left onto the gravel road leading to the club's car park.

Frequently Asked Questions
We welcome beginners through experienced archers and support multiple bow styles including traditional, recurve and compound, plus longbow. You can start with our Come and Try sessions or follow the regular club shooting for your level.
Come and Try runs most Saturday mornings with registration at 9am and shooting from 9:30 to 11am. We also run a club shoot every Saturday afternoon and Tuesday evening Twilight Shoots.
For Come and Try, registration starts at 9am and you should arrive between 8:45 and 9am to secure a place. It costs $25 per archer and covers equipment, insurances and coaching, with EFTPOS preferred and cash available.
