Broome SLSC

Located in the picturesque coastal town of Broome, Western Australia, Broome Surf Life Saving Club (Broome SLSC) is a renowned sports club that has been serving the community since its establishment in 1987. As the northernmost surf life-saving club in the entire state, Broome SLSC plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety of beachgoers on Cable Beach from May to October.

At Broome SLSC, safety is our top priority. Our dedicated team of volunteer active members undergo extensive training to become highly skilled in all aspects of surf life-saving. They tirelessly patrol the beach, keeping a watchful eye on swimmers, providing water safety supervision, and responding to any emergencies that may arise. We are proud to say that the efforts of our members have saved countless lives over the years.

In addition to our lifesaving services, Broome SLSC also offers various amenities and facilities to our members and the broader community. Our recently completed clubhouse redevelopment is a testament to our commitment to providing a comfortable and modern space for our members to relax and enjoy themselves. Made possible through generous grant funding from Lotterywest, Kimberley Development Commission, the Department of Local Government, Sport & Cultural Industries, and Horizon Power, as well as support from the Shire of Broome and Surf Life Saving WA, our clubhouse is the heart of our club.

Broome SLSC values community involvement and offers a range of events and programmes throughout the year. Our club calendar is filled with exciting activities, including social functions, fundraising events, and sporting competitions. These events not only bring the community together but also help raise vital funds for the continued operation of our club.
