The Busselton Junior Soccer Club (Inc) was started in Busselton around 1981 by Lyla Douglas. Initially the Club comprised sixty or so boys from Busselton and surrounds playing in the Bunbury League. For the first year this meant travelling to Bunbury each week. By the second year, however, the fixtures were home and away which greatly enhanced the appeal of the Busselton Club as travel time was cut by half.
