The Classic Riders Club of Goulburn Inc. is a sports club located in Goulburn, New South Wales, with a rich history in motorcycling. Goulburn is known for hosting the first Australian Tourist Trophy (TT) race in 1914 and the first official Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in 1924.
The club was founded in 1991 by Neil MacDonald and Richard Corbett, with the aim of creating a community for restorers and riders of old and classic motorcycles. The unofficial workshop, situated in Neil's under house shed, served as the birthplace of the club. The official launch took place on August 13, 1991, with the inaugural meeting held at Goulburn's RSL Club.
Since its establishment, the Classic Riders Club of Goulburn has grown to approximately 130 members and boasts a collection of over 120 motorcycles registered on Club Plates. The club welcomes new members and prides itself on its inclusivity, catering to motorcycles from vintage/veteran to modern.
The club holds monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month at the Goulburn Workers' Club, starting at 7:30 PM. These meetings provide an opportunity for members to come together, share their passion for motorcycles, and establish strong friendships within the club community.
The ethos of the Classic Riders Club of Goulburn is one of support and camaraderie. Members consider themselves like a family, bonded by their love for motorcycles and a mutual interest in all aspects related to them.
