About
The club was founded in June 1990 and many close friendships have been formed by members since then.
Every year since the Club started, snow camping trips have been held during the snow season, visiting places such as Mt. Feathertop, Mt Bogong, Mt Fainter and Mt Stirling.
On Sunday 11th June 2000, the Camperdown Bushwalking Club walked 250 km, in one day along the full length of the Great South West Walk. It was the first time this has been done. In celebration of the clubs 10th anniversary, 40 past and present members set out in groups of 2 to 4 from various points around the Great South West Walk. The groups walked a total of 14 sections, varying in distances from 10kms to 25kms.
The walkers ranged in age from 6 years to 80 years.
