About

All participants. CNA offers umpiring opportunities for individuals interested in becoming certified umpires, as well as providing ongoing support and development for experienced umpires.

CNA is proud to be affiliated with 20 clubs and schools in Canberra, working together to provide a competitive and inclusive netball experience for players of all ages and skill levels. With a membership of over 2000 individuals, CNA is a vibrant and thriving community.

The association offers a range of competitions and representative programmes to cater to different age groups and skill levels. The NetSetGO programme is specifically designed for children aged 5 to 10, providing a fun and supportive environment for them to learn and enjoy netball. The NCNC Winter Competition, played outdoors on Saturdays from March to September, is a joint initiative with the Belconnen Netball Association, catering to players in the North Canberra areas.

For aspiring junior players, CNA offers the Junior Academy, a skills development programme aimed at introducing young netballers to higher level competition and preparing them for the CNA junior representative selection trials. The junior representative programme is highly structured and successful, providing opportunities for players aged U11 to U17 to showcase their talent and represent CNA in regional and national competitions.

CNA also has a strong presence in the Senior State League Competition, with several teams participating in the Women's, Men's, and U19 categories. Matches are held on Friday evenings at the SolarHub ACT Netball Centre, providing a high-level competition for experienced players.

In addition to playing opportunities, CNA places great emphasis on umpiring. Umpires play a crucial role in ensuring fair and safe gameplay, and CNA offers training and support for individuals interested in becoming certified umpires, as well as ongoing development opportunities for experienced umpires.

At the heart of CNA is a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers who contribute their time and efforts to create a safe and happy netball community in Canberra. These volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and professions but share a common love and commitment to the sport.

Overall, Canberra Netball Association offers a comprehensive netball experience for individuals of all ages and skill levels, providing opportunities for learning, development, and competition in a supportive and inclusive environment.
