Apel Hockey Club was established in the 1980s and currently has teams competing in the following grades: PP-Year 3 (old U/8's), Years 4-6 (old U11's), Years 7-8 (old U13's) Girls and Boys, Years 9-12 (old U16's) Girls and Boys, A2 Women and Men and a mixed Masters team. Indoor Hockey and Summer Teams also compete during the off season.
Currently the PP-Year 3 and Years 4–6 teams are school based, so they train at the Capel School Oval, but all our other teams train on Tuesdays on the Turf at the Busselton Hockey Stadium.
The Capel Hockey Club has strong family values, and it is not uncommon for members of the same family to be playing in their respective grades. A monthly newsletter is sent to members and social events are held regularly throughout the year.
We welcome anyone who would like to play hockey. This year, 2016, we are looking for Years 7-8 & Years 9-12 Boys and Years 9–12 Girls who may be interested in playing. We may field two A2 womens sides, so we are looking for any women interested in playing. Experienced or begginer players are welcome.
We are also looking for additional men to play in our A2 Men's side.
