Welcome to Carlton Gardens Tennis Club (CGTC), one of Sydney's most beloved and historic tennis clubs. Located in the picturesque Royal Carlton Gardens, just a short walk from the CBD, CGTC offers a fantastic tennis experience with its state-of-the-art facilities and vibrant social community.
CGTC boasts four LED-floodlit artificial-grass courts surrounded by majestic elm and oak trees, creating an idyllic setting for a game of tennis. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, our courts provide the perfect playing surface for a fun and competitive match.
The heritage clubhouse has recently undergone a full renovation, providing modern amenities such as change rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, and a BBQ area. After a rewarding game on the court, members can relax and socialise in this charming and welcoming space, creating lasting memories.
The Club takes great pride in acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land, the Bunurong Boon Wurrung and Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung peoples of the Eastern Kulin Nation. We pay our respect to their Elders, both past and present, and acknowledge the deep connexion they have with the land we play on.
CGTC offers a variety of social sessions throughout the week, catering to players of all levels. Our popular Monday night mixed competition is perfect for intermediate to advanced players, while Tuesday mornings and evenings provide opportunities for intermediate hitters to enjoy a friendly game. Wednesday evenings feature a fast-paced session for creative intermediates, and Thursday evenings are dedicated to ladies looking to get back into the game. Friday nights are reserved for a friendly and competitive mixed social doubles session, and Sunday mornings are dedicated to our cherished members.
Participation in our social sessions is just $5 for members and $10 for non-members, except Tuesday mornings, which is free for members. Our social sessions provide a great opportunity to improve your skills, meet fellow tennis enthusiasts, and enjoy the camaraderie that our club is known for.
