The club has a rich history and a humble beginning. It was founded in a store room of a supermarket, K&J Supa Value, which is now known as Rods Supermarket. The first meeting was attended by notable individuals such as Mr. John Kelly, Mr.

Ron Slater, Mr. Bill Giles, Mrs. Sue Wicks, and others. These founders came from diverse backgrounds, representing the local union, railway, engineering, and business sectors.

The primary motivation behind creating Central Football Club was the founders' disillusionment with existing practises in established clubs. They were opposed to the formation of teams where all the talented players were concentrated in one team, leaving the less skilled players in a lower-tier team. This approach was detrimental to the growth and development of the game. The founders believed in equal opportunities for all players, and they were pioneers of the idea of a “salary cap” in sports, advocating for a fair distribution of talent across teams.

The club's committee emphasised the importance of strong participation across all age groups, ensuring the long-term success and sustainability of the club. They envisioned a club that celebrated equality and fairness in team selections and game time. Central Football Club aimed to create an environment where good players uplifted the less skilled players, creating a cohesive team that improved collectively. They believed in valuing being a good “club man” over individual accolades, creating a culture of unity and camaraderie.
