

The Central Wimmera Tennis Association (C. W. T. A.
) is a well-established sports club located in the Northern Grampians Shire of Victoria, Australia. Founded in 1937, the association has a rich history and continues to thrive as a hub for tennis enthusiasts in the region.
The club initially began with six teams and subsequently grew in size and popularity. It went into recess during the Second World War but reformed in 1946 with six teams, including Natimuk Blue, Natimuk Red, Horsham, Noradjuha, Pimpinio, and Clear Lake. In 1950, Horsham Churches and District Association merged with C. W.
T. A. , resulting in a total of 36 teams. Over the years, the association has remained committed to promoting and supporting tennis within the local community.
Central Wimmera Tennis Association became incorporated in 1985, solidifying its status as a reputable organisation. Their dedication to preserving their history is evident through the custody and control of all past documentation and items of interest by esteemed historian Mr. Les Wills.
The association has had numerous individuals serve in leadership roles, including past Presidents and Secretaries who have contributed significantly to its growth and success. The list of life members reflects the commitment and contribution of individuals to the club over the years.
With a diverse range of membership, the club caters to players of all ages and skill levels. The tennis season runs from 6 October 2023 to 23 March 2024, and match play for Section 5 and 6 takes place on Fridays at 5pm. The season includes various rounds, semi-finals, and a grand final, providing ample opportunities for players to engage in friendly competition and showcase their talent.
