The Cessna 200 Series Association is a sports club based in Horsham Rural City, Australia, dedicated to promoting safe and enjoyable flying experiences for like-minded individuals. The club organises Fly Ins, which are held twice a year during Autumn and Spring. Some Fly Ins take place over weekends, while others are scheduled for the duration of a week. Participants have the opportunity to suggest future locations for these events. The association strives to include informative technical sessions at some Fly Ins to enhance members' understanding of aviation-related topics.
These gatherings not only provide a platform for flying activities but also serve as an avenue for building friendships and exploring new locations together.
Membership in the C200 Series Association is open to commercial and private pilots, Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (LAMES), as well as their families and friends who share an interest in aviation and building connexions within the aviation community. The committee meets between Fly Ins using teleconferences or Zoom meetings to discuss club matters and plan for future events. All members are invited to attend a general meeting held during each Fly In, where updates are shared, and future Fly Ins are discussed. Additionally, an Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held during the Spring Fly In each year.
The club welcomes owners of any type of aircraft, but particularly those who own a Cessna, especially within the 200 series, to join their community.
