The Chester Hill Hornets are a successful rugby league club based at the Terry Lamb Reserve, Chester Hill, NSW. The Hornets currently compete in the Canterbury-Bankstown Junior Rugby League competition.
The club has won a total of 84 leadingships since formation in 1948 including their first under the Sydney Combined Competition (SCC) banner in 2013.
The Hornets have produced numerous successful players who have represented a first grade team within the National Rugby League. Notable players to come out of Chester Hill Hornets JRLFC includes Rugby League legend Terry Lamb, former Bulldogs enforcer, dual premiership winner and crowd favourite Geoff Robinson, 1967 Canterbury grand final halfback Ross Kidd, dual Broncos topship winner Terry Matterson, the fierce and robust Corey Payne, Former Penrith Panthers centre, and NSW State of Origin representative Jamal Idris, Canberra Raiders Sharp Shooter Aiden Sezer, Former Tigers representative Brendan Santi and NSW Blues Forward and Canterbury Bulldogs hardman David Klemmer.
In 2013, the Hornets continued their success with nine of our U14/1 side chosen for the Bulldogs Development Squad. For each consecutive year thereafter, Chester Hill Hornets players have been successful in securing a spot on the Bulldogs Development squad. It is with this continued success, that we move into 2016, where the Hornets will field teams from U/5 to A Grade and 3 Women's Teams U13, U15 & Opens.
