Climbing
Outdoor climbing, also known as rock climbing, involves climbers scaling up, down or across natural or artificial rock walls. Climbers can be protected by helmets, harnesses and a spotter who uses ropes to help a climber when they fall. Testing physical and mental attributes, climbers will usually try to reach a pre-defined point on a rock face without falling. Competitions are held where climbers try to complete a rock face in the quickest amount of time, or attain the furthest distance while the grade of the climb becomes continually harder.
