Collingwood Basketball Association is a not-for-profit community based basketball club which offers young and older players in inner city Melbourne the opportunity to participate in a variety of competitions and programmes.
The club includes members from many suburbs including: Abbotsford, Alphington, Ascot Vale, Bellfield, Brunswick, Brunswick East, Carlton, Carlton North, Clifton Hill, Coburg, Collingwood, East Melbourne, Fairfield, Fitzroy, Fitzroy North, Footscray, Greensborough, Hawthorn, Heidelberg, Ivanhoe, Kensington, Kew, Melbourne, Mill Park, North Melbourne, Northcote, Pascoe Vale, Parkville, Prahran, Preston, Regent, Reservoir, Richmond, Thomastown and Thornbury.
The club provides the opportunity to learn and develop basketball skills in beginner programmes, to play in competition on Saturdays as part of the Eastern Districts Junior Basketball Association, and for those who wish to further challenge themselves to play at representative level on Friday nights. The club also has open age teams in the Melbourne Metropolitan Basketball League, runs an Access All Abilities programme for players with a disability, and runs holiday programmes during the Easter, July, and September holidays.
