Yoga is an ancient practise that originated in India. It is beneficial for people of all levels of health and promotes the union of the body, mind, and spirit. Alignment and awareness are essential, and practising breathing techniques improves overall health and creates a sense of connectedness. In the Pregnancy Yoga classes, participants will be introduced to relaxation, meditation, and postures (asanas) in a balanced and enjoyable manner.
Relevant postures for specific health problems will also be covered. The benefits of yoga are not always immediate but are often more subtle. Regular practise improves health, flexibility, confidence, breathing, posture, awareness, and ability to manage stress.
