Congupna is a thriving sports club located in Greater Shepparton City, dedicated to promoting and engaging children in the sport of Australian Football. The club is proud to be a part of the NAB AFL Auskick programme, which is Australia's leading participation programme for kids. Through Auskick, children have the opportunity to get active, develop invaluable life skills, and form lasting friendships.
At Congupna, Auskick activities are centred around game-based learning, making it a fun and enjoyable experience for children of all skill levels. Whether kids have prior Aussie Rules experience or not, they can start Auskick in the calendar year they turn 5. Parents are also encouraged to participate in various ways, ensuring a fun and inclusive environment for everyone involved.
In order to ensure safe and fair play, Congupna divides Auskickers into age-appropriate groups and also offers optional all-girls groups. Sessions run for just one hour per week, making it manageable for busy families. Additionally, there is no need for expensive kit, as Auskickers can wear whatever they feel comfortable in.
Aside from the joy of playing and forming friendships, NAB AFL Auskickers at Congupna receive amazing benefits. They receive a unique pack of exclusive footy goodies, an Auskick Junior Club Membership for the AFL club of their choice (which includes access to games), and the incredible opportunity to play halftime at AFL and AFLW elite matches alongside their footy heroes.
Parents play a pivotal role in NAB AFL Auskick, and Congupna encourages their involvement at every stage. From coordinating activities to simply encouraging their child, families contribute to the fun, inclusive, and supportive environment that Auskick fosters. Parents can easily find out more about getting involved by reaching out to their local Auskick coordinator.
For those dreamers who want to join the ultimate Auskick team, Congupna offers the chance to register and potentially win a spot in Team NAB AFL Auskick. Winners of this competition get a once-in-a-lifetime Grand Final Week experience, the opportunity to present a medal to their footy heroes at the Grand Final, and $5,000 spending money for the team captain.
For more information and to stay connected, Congupna can be found on social media platforms. Additionally, there is easy access to contact the club during business hours through phone or email. The AFL and Congupna also acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners of the land on which they play the game, recognising their culture and the Elders past and present. Whether it's registering to play, finding ways to help, or seeking answers to frequently asked questions, Congupna and NAB AFL Auskick are dedicated to ensuring a fantastic experience for all participants.
