Copacabana Surf Life Saving Club

Copacabana Surf Life Saving Club, located on the beautiful Central Coast of New South Wales, has been serving the Copacabana community and its visitors since 1963. The club started with just 14 active members and has now grown to over 400 members, with 90 of them being active surf life savers.

The club's main focus is on enjoyment and participation at all levels, offering various competition programmes for those who like to race. Memberships are available for juniors, masters, seniors, and families, both active and associate.

Copacabana SLSC also operates Weekenders, a venue located on the upper level of the surf lifesaving club. Weekenders is open during the surf life-saving season and offers a relaxing and social environment for members and visitors. Opening times can be found on the club's social media pages.

The club encourages everyone to get involved in surf life-saving, regardless of age, gender, cultural background, or swimming ability. There is a role for everyone within the club, and the more people involved, the more the club can do for the community, beaches, and surf life-saving efforts.

For those interested in becoming a surf lifesaver, Copacabana SLSC provides training and opportunities to gain lifelong skills and knowledge in surf awareness, rescue techniques, radio communication, and CPR. Once certified, there are numerous opportunities available, such as competing, operating powercraft, or training others.
