Welcome to DTX Studios, your number one dance studio in Mandurah, WA.
DTX Studios was founded in 2014 by Principal Miss Tash Kennedy and her husband Mr Dane Kennedy. Miss Tash has been a dancer and teacher in Western Australia going on 25 years, her dance training and teaching extends professionally and locally over this 25 year period (More information on Miss Tash is available in the Staff section). Her knowledge is extensive and her passion and drive make for an extraordinary studio!!
Having a small family of their own and a photography business on the side Miss Tash and Mr Dane started DTX Studios on a whim in January 2014 after a 3 year break from the dance industry to have children. The idea started as a small community based school running baby ballet classes out of the local community halls. This idea did not stick long it soon developed into the dance school we all know and love today after Mr Dane presented Miss Tash with the beautiful studio in Greenfields we now call home. Production started immediately to create this beautiful family based studio we know and love offering fun, relaxed, professional dance tuition.
Whether your a hobbyist and just love to dance or an aspiring professional we wanted to cater for you everyone, and we soon did. DTX Studios soon grew from a small studio to a whopping 96 students in less then one term, the studio started to create a buzz with it's semi-professional dance company “DTX Dance Company”. The company hit the dance scene in WA with a bang winning over 50 places at competitions 90% of which were 1st Places, won highest overall marks awards for many dance pieces and best choreography awards. But they didn't stop there...
many unique performances were created and performed over the 12 month period and received rave reviews for their high standard , creative and professional shows. To add to this DTX Dance Company was featured in Dance Train Magazine for their highly regarded photography who have now also offered to assist us with fundraising in 2015. The company was also offered to tour LA in 2015 and perform at some of LA's most prestigious places. A quote direct from Disneyland resort stated they were “impressed with our high standard of dancers”.
And yes we did this all in less then 12 months.
