The academy offers a wide range of dance styles to cater to different interests and abilities. One of their primary focuses is Classical Ballet, which is considered the most graceful and elegant form of dance. Ballet classes follow the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus and help promote correct posture, improve flexibility, and enhance athleticism. These classes are available for students as young as 3-years-old up to majors.

Tap dancing is a fast and fun form of dance that combines old and modern freestyle techniques. From Fred Astaire to Tap Dogs, the academy offers tap classes for students aged 6 and up, including adults.

Lyrical and Contemporary dance styles are also taught at Dance North Academy. These styles build on a strong centre and combine movement and fluidity with basic classical foundations. Students can explore these styles, which are similar to those performed by the renowned Sydney Dance Company. Classes are available for students from 5-years-old to adults.

Street style dance is celebrated through the Hip Hop classes at the academy. This form of dance allows for free, funky, soulful expression to the latest music. Hip Hop classes start from 5-years-old.

Acro technique classes aim to develop skills in balancing, tumbling, partnering, flexibility, and strengthening. These classes are available for students aged 8 and above.

Jazz dance, a fun, and energetic popular form of dance, is also taught at Dance North Academy. Aside from keeping fit while dancing to the latest music, these classes focus on stability, musicality, strength, and flexibility in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Jazz classes are open to students of all ages, starting from 3-years-old to adults.

For mothers and their young children, Dance North Academy offers Mums and Bubs classes. These classes provide a wonderful opportunity for children aged 2 ½ to 3 ½ years to be creative in dancing with movement and music. Introducing ballet and jazz styles, these classes offer a special bonding time for mothers and their children.

Dance North Academy operates on a term basis, with four terms in a year. The term dates for 2023 are as follows: Term 1: Monday 30th January – Thursday 6th April, Term 2: Monday 24th April – Saturday 1st July, Term 3: Monday 17th July – Saturday 23rd September, and Term 4: 9th October – Concert Date.
