The Darling Downs Soaring Club in 1960. Since then, the club has grown significantly and has become one of the largest and most progressive gliding clubs in Australia.

They provide Air Experience Flights, where individuals can enjoy the thrill of gliding without the need for prior booking. Full-time students under 26 also benefit from discounted glider rates. The club has an online booking system for their single-seat aircraft and a training request system to effectively manage pilots' progress.
To ensure safety, the club has equipped their tugs and all club and private gliders with collision avoidance Flarm Dittolog automatic flight recording and integration systems. They also offer annual scholarships for young pilots, furthering their commitment to developing the next generation of gliders.
