With the Denman Motor Cycle Club, you are becoming part of a vibrant and welcoming community of dirt bike enthusiasts in Muswellbrook Shire Council.
The club's primary focus is on introducing young people to the sport of dirt biking. Organised days are held where participants receive tuition in safety, motorcycle maintenance, riding skill development, and overall enjoyment of the sport. This ensures that newcomers have a solid foundation to build upon and can learn in a safe and supportive environment.
In addition to youth development, the Denman Motor Cycle Club also encourages senior members to participate in club events and competitive riding. The club offers a variety of activities to cater to both amateur and serious off-road motorcyclists. All activities are organised in accordance with the rules and guidelines set by Motorcycling NSW (the affiliated body) and the Manual of Motorcycle Sport (Motorcycling Australia), ensuring that safety and integrity are prioritised in all club events.
One of the key events offered by the club is Trials riding. These are short sections specifically designed to test the skills of the riders rather than focusing on speed. Trials riding is a fantastic family sport that guarantees lots of fun for everyone involved.
The club also hosts Ride Park Days (RPDs), which are perfect for those who are new to the sport and want to try out the various disciplines offered by the club. RPDs are low-cost introduction days that don't require a licence, making it accessible for riders of all levels.
For those who prefer a more challenging experience, the club offers Cross Country & Enduro events. These events involve riding over natural terrain, similar to trail riding. Riders can choose between completing one long course or multiple short loops over a set time, creating a rally-like experience.
The Pony Express event is another highlight of the club's calendar. It involves riders entering in teams of two, with each team sharing one bike or riding with two bikes. There is also an ironman class for those who prefer to go solo.
Juniors under the age of 16 are required to undergo a Licence Assessment Programme to be eligible to compete. Additionally, when they upgrade to a higher bike capacity, they must complete an Endorsement Course to maintain their eligibility. The club occasionally holds Kick Start and Endorsement Coaching days for interested participants.
While the club primarily focuses on off-road motorcycling, there are occasional road rides organised for members who own road bikes. These day trips provide an opportunity for members to enjoy a different type of ride and explore new destinations.
The Denman Motor Cycle Club takes pride in fostering a fun and family-friendly atmosphere. All club days and events are designed to be inclusive and enjoyable for riders of all ages and experience levels. Whether you're a seasoned rider or just starting out, the club welcomes you to join their community and experience the thrill of hitting the dirt on a motorcycle.
