Swimming lessons for children start from 6 months of age. Our classes are divided into several levels dependent upon the child's ability. The aim is for each child to improve their skills in a friendly, warm environment and thus develop a love of the water for the future.
Mums 'N' Bubs – From 6 months to approximately 2. 5 years, to develop water confidence, awareness, and safety. A fun time for both child and parent. Class of 8 swimmers.
Starfish – These classes are for those students who lack confidence in the pool, and are unable to propel themselves through the water unaided for a distance of 5 metres. Class of 4 swimmers.
Pufferfish - For confident, mobile swimmers. The strokes of freestyle and backstroke are taught in this class. Class of 4 swimmers.
Sharks – Further stroke development in freestyle, backstroke, and the learning of butterfly. Class of 7 swimmers.
Dolphins – Stroke refinement of freestyle, backstroke, butterfly and the learning of breastroke. Thsi class is for strong swimmers with a good technique and is a stepping stone to squad training. Tumble turns, starts and finishes are taught in this class. Class of 10 swimmers.
