Originating from China, the sport of Dragon Boat Racing sees teams of twenty-two rowers use single oars to propel a long concave canoe forward. While traditional boats were made of oak, nowadays boats are made of lightweight carbon fibre for faster speeds. Within the twenty-two participants there is 20 rowers, one steerer and one drummer who is tasked with keeping the rowing rhythm.
