The Zone Carnival is a highly anticipated event at the Eastern Suburbs Little Athletics Centre. Athletes are invited to nominate for their preferred events, with a limit of five athletes per event in the U7 to U11 age groups. The ESLAC committee ensures fair representation by selecting athletes if any events are oversubscribed. Athletes are encouraged to consider their likelihood of qualifying for popular events at the time of nomination.

Zone Rules are in place to ensure a smooth and successful carnival experience. Parental involvement is crucial, as for every family with an athlete entering Zone, a parent must volunteer for a two-hour slot or pay a non-volunteer levy. This year, ESLAC will be running a barbecue on Saturday, and parents are encouraged to help out.

To help with planning, the Zone programme for each age group is available for download on the club's website. While the programme may undergo changes leading up to the carnival, the day and time for each event are estimated as of November 3, 2023.
