The Eglinton All-Stars Junior Netball Club was formed in 2006 when nineteen very eager nine and ten year old girls, who had never played netball before, were keen to learn the game. We registered two teams in the Bathurst Netball Association’s winter non-competitive competition, and we haven’t looked back since.
Sportsmanship is a key element to our club and a number of our girls over the years have been selected to represent Bathurst at Netball NSW State Age Championships. Our girls have participated in the Bathurst Netball Association’s Umpire Squads, which has greatly assisted their umpiring skills and also benefited their on-court game. Some of our older players have undertaken coaching roles with the younger girls, which makes our Club feel like one big family.
All our coaches and assistant coaches have undertaken the Netball NSW Foundation Coaching course in conjunction with Bathurst Netball Association and have completed mandatory Police checks for Working with Children. We value their willingness to volunteer and train the girls weekly and coaching them on game day.
Why are we the All-Stars? Because we believe that all our girls shine brightly no matter what their skill level is. The main aim of our game is to participate and have fun, because all our girls are stars!
